Tamara Kacen is a seasoned Clinical Psychologist and Board-approved Supervisor with over 15 years of experience dedicated to supporting individuals on their mental health journey.

She has held roles in both public and private hospitals across Australia, and her therapeutic approach is marked by a genuine warmth and openness. Tamara is passionate about applying psychological principles to help individuals cultivate everyday effectiveness and discover meaning in their lives.

Specialising in adult therapy, Tamara addresses a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, and emotional storms. She extends her support to individuals navigating chronic physical health issues such as renal disease, diabetes, organ transplant, or reliance on medical devices.

Tamara offers personalised therapy, drawing from a toolkit that includes Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness-based therapies, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Schema therapy. Her goal is to create a safe space where clients can embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth.

Beyond her role at Peter Walker and Associates, Tamara works at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney's Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Program and offers her expertise to the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry team. Her rich background includes valuable contributions to the Therapy and Recovery Service at Fairfield-Liverpool Community Mental Health Service and the Alfred Hospital’s Community Mental Health Service.
