Frequently Asked Questions

How much are fees per session?

The Australian Psychological Society sets guidelines for fees for psychological services. The current recommended fee as of July 2020 for a standard session is $300.

We have different rates for Clinical Psychologist Registrars, Endorsed Clinical Psychologists and Principal Clinical Psychologists. Please contact us for details.

How much is the Medicare rebate per session?

You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate if you are referred by a General Practitioner under the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care Program (GP Items 2710, 2712, 2715 or 2717), or referred directly from a Psychiatrist or Pediatrician.

The amount of the rebate will vary depending on which clinician you see as we have different rates for Clinical Psychologist Registrars, Endorsed Clinical Psychologists and Principal Clinical Psychologists. Please contact us for details.

Can I claim a rebate from my private health provider for a session?

Our clinical psychologists are registered providers with most major health funds that cover psychological services. Please contact your health fund to determine your exact cover.

Please note that you cannot claim from both Medicare and your health fund for the same consultation session.

Do I have to pay fees at the time of my appointment?

Yes, all fees are due upon conclusion of your appointment.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept credit cards, EFTPOS and cash.

Can I change my in-person appointment to a telehealth appointment?

Absolutely! We understand that sometimes it can be difficult to get to the practice for in-person appointments, which is why we offer telehealth appointments. Please let us know within 2 hours of your appointment time that you would like to switch so we can send you details needed to access the telehealth session.

What if I need to change the day/time of or cancel my appointment?

Please call us on 02 9314 5376 as soon as you know you need to change or cancel your appointment.

We require at least 24 hours notice if you need to change or cancel your booked appointment. A fee of $50 will be charged if this notice is not given.

50% of clinicians fees will be charged for cancellations or changes to appointments within 12 hours of your appointment time.

Non-attendance without informing the practice, or cancellation within one (1) hour of the scheduled appointment time will incur the full clinician’s fee.

Payment of cancellation fees and missed appointment fees are required prior to booking your next appointment.

Medicare rebates cannot be claimed for missed appointments.

Thank you for your understanding.
